01 · Intro
DevBro was designed to help developers streamline their workflow by automating repetitive coding tasks.
DevBro was designed to help developers streamline their workflow by automating repetitive coding tasks, offering intelligent suggestions, and optimizing projects, without breaking their flow or stack.
Goal
To create an AI-powered, developer-first platform that simplifies code review, documentation, optimization, and project management all while integrating seamlessly with modern dev stacks and workflows.

Problems & solutions
- 01
Code Review & Assistance
Developers waste hours reviewing code manually, often overlooking hidden bugs, inefficiencies, or better ways to structure their projects. Traditional review processes are slow, inconsistent, and tied to human availability.
Solution
DevBro delivers instant, AI-powered code reviews that catch bugs, suggest improvements, and answer technical questions about your project on demand. It’s like having a senior dev on-call 24/7 — reviewing, explaining, and optimizing your code without slowing you down.
- 02
Docs, Queries & Language Automation
Documentation and query writing are time-consuming, often left incomplete, and a huge source of project debt. Switching between languages or generating SQL queries from scratch eats up valuable dev hours.
Solution
With DevBro, you can auto-generate clean, readable documentation, turn natural language requests into optimized SQL queries, and translate code across languages effortlessly.
- 03
Code Quality, Security & Optimization
Security vulnerabilities and bloated, inefficient code slow down projects and leave them exposed. Most teams skip or delay security checks and performance reviews because the tools are clunky and time-intensive.
Solution
DevBro automatically scans your dependencies for vulnerabilities, analyzes code complexity, and delivers practical optimization tips in real-time. It keeps your code fast, clean, and secure
- 04
DevOps & Automation Toolkit
Setting up APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and unit tests eats up valuable build time and breaks developer momentum. Every hour spent on config is an hour stolen from feature development.
Solution
DevBro auto-generates API boilerplates, pipeline configs, and AI-powered unit tests tailored to your stack. It simplifies DevOps setup, reduces deployment friction, and helps you ship smarter, faster, and safer.

03 · Process
Research & Planning
I started by identifying developers' daily pain points, analyzing existing tools, and defining core features that truly add value without disrupting the workflow.
04 · Process
Wireframing & Prototyping
Created low-fidelity wireframes to map user journeys, then moved to interactive prototypes to test ideas, navigation flow, and UX patterns.
05 · Process
UI Design & Visual System
Crafted clean, developer-centric interfaces with a modern, minimal aesthetic. Focused on readability, intuitive layouts, and quick action triggers.
06 · Process
Development Handoff & Iterations
Provided a structured, annotated design system and prototypes for seamless developer handoff. Iterated based on real feedback from early testers and improved the UX accordingly.
07
What was cut, and why
DevBro was built for Salam Hack 2025, an online hackathon for Arabic-speaking developers: five days from idea to submission, teams of two to four, judged on a working prototype and a presentation. The idea was big: AI code review, documentation and SQL generation, security scans and a DevOps toolkit. Designing all four properly in five days was not possible, so I cut the scope to what the pitch needed: a landing page that explains the product in one scroll, and a waitlist to capture interest. The four features stayed as clear sections on the page rather than half-built product flows.
Early testers pushed in the same direction. Anything that needed explaining was shortened or dropped, and the page kept only what a developer understands in a few seconds. One finished story beat four unfinished ones.
08
Result
DevBro slashed review and doc time by 70%, accelerated builds, and delivered cleaner, safer code. Developers worked faster, shipped smarter, and stayed in total control of their workflow.
